Large-scale Moscow's Strikes Eliminate Power In Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure under attack in the region
Ukraine's power facilities have faced increased strikes in the past few days

During the night, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have led to blackouts in large parts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were hurt while residents in eastern neighborhoods were plunged into darkness and faced problems to water supplies, according to municipal leaders.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was fatally injured in a distinct aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southern area, as reported by area administrators.

Moscow has escalated strikes on electrical systems over the past few days, while officials has requested "real steps" from allies to exert influence on Russia.

"What's needed is not symbolic gestures but decisive action - from the America, European nations and the major economies - in delivering defensive weapons and implementing sanctions," was stated in a social media post.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and more than 30 missiles targeted energy facilities, describing such assaults as "cynical and calculated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as winter approaches.

The energy minister said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and maintenance teams were working to repair systems.

A wave of strikes struck power facilities and residential structures in the capital.

Multiple people hurt in the strikes on the city have been transported for medical care, as confirmed by local officials.

Area administrators said the metropolitan region endured heavy assaults during nighttime hours. A minor died and several individuals were wounded.

The assaults succeed periods of bombing campaigns in the area, parts of which remain under the control of invading troops.

The whole nation is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are more difficult to spot.

National leaders told journalists that Moscow was purposely seeking to demolish the national power system, with assaults already impacting energy systems.

Officials stated utility staff and government agencies were anticipating more assaults.
